Showered With Fun

Our friends Janice and Zach had a baby shower last month. The shower was held in Zach’s hometown which is is not far from Chapel Hill. Lucky for us, our friend Cindy and her daughter Amelia decided to come up from FL to for the shower and they stayed with us. We had a wonderful time. We ate lots of good food, went to the shower, and took a trip to the Museum of Life and Sciences.

Spring has arrived here in Chapel Hill. The trees have been flowering, and my allergies have kicked in. Pretty soon we will all be coated with yellow pine pollen.

Merry Christmas!

Well, our Christmas got off to a slow start as did many people’s on the East coast. The “blizzard” that was supposed to hit Chapel Hill got kids out of school early, but only dropped .01″ of snow there. However, it did dump on DC delaying our departure to Manlius by two days.

We made it safe and sound, as did our luggage. Corinne, my Dad, and I headed out and picked out a tree after walking the whole of the tree farm, and I think it just might be the best tree ever. We got the tree set up just in time to have tea with my Aunt Debbie. We also got some X-country skiing in, checked out the fort we built this summer with Adam, found time to play a little Cribbage, celebrated my Mom’s Birthday three times, and celebrated Christmas a day early.

Then we headed out for Colorado and celebrate Christmas with Corinne’s folks with a traditional Chinese dinner, and then hanging out with the cats and dog.
